  1. A quite staggering result. Has any candidate ever received fewer votes?

  2. Two votes...one presumably from the candidate himself and what happened to the ten people who nominated him?
    There should be a recount.
The most interesting question for me, though, is who is the 'City Independent' who trounced all the others? Can anyone shed any light on that please?

  3. The last time a nationalist candidate got 2 votes was in London in 1964 - an NSM guy - but in those days the party name did not go on the ballot paper. In Stoke the candidate Mark Leat could not vote for himself as he did not live in the ward. Mark only has himself to blame as he did no work in the ward and his leaflet was shocking. May this be a lesson...
