So now we know. Lots of answers to lots of questions were answered last night in the British Resistance Paltalk Room, when Andrew Brons MEP and still a member of the BNP, answered every question put to him by the interviewer and from the floor - if an internet room has a floor that is

Best give you the details in a nutshell first.

Andrew Brons MEP link was removed from the party website - you may guess at the reasons why, after reading the rest of this article.

Andrew Brons believes that the Chairman of the Party has lost direction and is being poorly advised by Patrick Harrington who was also involved in the 1986 split - coincidence perhaps or something more?

Andrew hopes that even at this late stage, Nick Griffin may be prevailed upon to see sense and make the constitutional changes and management changes now demanded by the membership to reunite the party and move forward together.

Sadly, Andrew, believes that this is unlikely to happen and that a leadership challenge would need to be fought and that being the case he would have no alternative other than to support veteran nationalist Richard Edmonds who he believes to be a man of honour.

Andrew was asked whether he would consider standing against the Chairman if Richard Edmonds were to stand aside and replied that he had no ambitions to be leader and that his job was in Europe. The questioner pointed out that perhaps he had a greater duty to his party and country which he accepted.

Andrew displayed a good sense of humour when asked about the parties poor performance in the General Elections and Welsh/Scottish elections when he said that in most political parties it was usual for a party leader to resign after a poor showing whereas in the BNP the leader stays and the members resign [or are expelled].

The Green Arrow asked Andrew if he had ever been contacted by Wales BNP, after his kind offer to speak in Wales. Andrew replied that sadly that no requests were ever made to him and neither were requests received to assist in the Welsh Assembly elections, other than a quick chat with the chairman very late in the election.

More humour from Andrew when solicited for his opinion on Nick Griffin being voted hardest working MEP by the Editor of Voice of Freedom, when he pointed out that the editor had a name that was remarkably similar to that of the chairman. We like people with a sense of humour in the British Resistance.

ANY OFFICIAL OR MEMBER WHO INVITES ANY FACTION TO SPEAK AT ANY OTHER MEETING WILL IMMEDIATELY BE SUSPENDED PENDING EXPULSION

More seriously, when asked about Mike Howson's threats to expel members of the party should they exercise their rights of free association and hold informal meetings on the grounds that they were factional.

Andrew replied that the current whirlwind tour of the chairman could also be considered factional. It was pointed out to Andrew that at the recent "factional" meeting in the South West, reported on the BNP site, it stated that selected people were invited. So select in fact that some leading Welsh Officers did not even know of the meeting, however their support for reform has clearly been noticed. Shameful boys, just plain shameful and you know it.

Before opening questions to the floor, Andrew was asked what the members and supporters of the party should be doing now in these difficult times and replied that first off, no members should resign the party (bit late for some) and should sign the nomination forms for the leadership challenger. They should also be creating a network of contacts should it be necessary to rebuild from the ground up.

Andrew finished off by thanking those in the room for listening to him, pointed out that room was a useful medium for communicating information to large numbers of people and said he would be very pleased to be invited back again. Rest assured we have already asked Andrew to return in a week, as we have a feeling that he may have more information for us by then.

This article will be updated later with links and additional information.
