Andrew Brons MEP: the Unity Candidate for BNP Leader
Andrew Brons MEP, the BNP's first and most senior MEP, announces his candidature for the post of National Chairman of the British National Party, under the provisions of our party's current Constitution.
Andrew speaks very circumspectly but he evidently deprecates the way in which the BNP has been ruined by the incumbent of the office to which Andrew seeks election.
Andrew says that he shall not engage in demonization. There has been far too much of that from the party's current and failed leadership.
Andrew wishes to strengthen the BNP by empowering its grass roots, defending and restoring the democratic accountability which has been eroded by the current regime to no good purpose over the years, as well as adding some new democratic safeguards.
Andrew rightly censures the systematic perversion and abuse of the party's disciplinary process and security apparatus by the incumbent, in order to obtain an ephemeral factious and personal advantage for the incumbent.
Andrew emphasizes that his challenge is not prompted by ideological or policy disagreement with the current chairman. On the contrary, ideology and policy is one area in which there is comparatively little disagreement with the current leadership of the party.
The principal differences lie in the sphere of organization and management of the party, notably in the fields of finance, personnel, member relations and public relations.
Andrew's bid for the leadership of our party is heartily endorsed by founder member and veteran former Deputy Chairman of the BNP, Richard Edmonds. Richard now withdraws his candidature in Andrew's favour and with the members of his team, including his Campaign Manager, Chris Roberts, who becomes Andrew's Election Agent, places his good offices at Andrew's service.
