Griffin henchman McBride insults BNP parish councillors

Griffin's henchman McBride insults BNP parish councillors

The foregoing is an exchange of letters, via e-mail, between Mr Andrew McBride, the British National Party's (former) regional organizer for the south east (now with "Britain First"), and Mr Raymond Dobing, BNP parish councillor, and Basingstoke contact.

Not only does McBride show himself to be a foul-mouthed oaf, by using foul language in his reply to Ray's innocuous letter, he is also so cocksure of Griffin's connivance in his scandalous misconduct that he makes a point of boasting that he has himself copied his reply to Griffin.

Ray's wife Paula, also a BNP parish councillor, opened McBride's filthy e-mail, and was naturally distressed by it. She wrote to Griffin complaining about it but has received no reply from him. Ray has complained to several senior officers of the party about the e-mail but has received no satisfaction from any of them. Ray and Paula Dobing have, understandably, albeit regrettably, resigned the BNP whip, and now sit on Rooksdown Parish Council as independent councillors.

Griffin is so corrupt and arrogant that he simply ignores his correspondence, unless he feels it is in his own personal interest to reply. He and his loathsome creature McBride are two of a kind: a pair of corrupt scoundrels whom the BNP would be much better off without.

Without a doubt, the use of foul language when communicating either verbally or in writing with colleagues, members of the public, the media, or political opponents, is a symptom of corruption, in this case of manners. It brings the party into disrepute, severely damages morale and is unprofessional in the extreme. It is antithetic to everything for which the BNP should stand: the restoration of high standards of decency and integrity in public and private life alike. It is no accident that such misconduct by senior officers of the party is condoned by the party Wrecker-in-Chief, Mr Griffin.

I have to say that Andy McBride's interpersonal and public relations skills are unfortunately typical of the BNP. Some time ago, a friend and member of the party asked me to see if I could help him with a query. The member in question is a former Euro parliamentary candidate, very active, writer for party publications and a professional man with a doctorate. He is or at least was also a member of the Trafalgar Club. He has contributed quite a bit of money to the party and certainly to branch funds very generously.

He filled in the appropriate form to stand again for the EU list for 2009, but heard nothing back. He had also not heard or received the standard courtesy letters from the TC especially regarding his length of service. He asked me to see what I could do. I then wrote a detailed, courteous and professional letter asking Andy McBride to address these issues, as the BNP was in danger of losing a man of integrity, intellect and devotion. Needless to say I received as is so commonplace a very rude and terse reply on the lines of "It's got nothing to do with you". No reply was received by the aforementioned gentleman either.

Yet another example of the appalling PR and marketing of the BNP, and the way it treats people who have done a great deal for the party and who inevitably are lost to it.
